Microporous Carbon-SiC Blocks for BF Lining

Modern Blast Furnaces reach today a lifetime of more than 20 years. The right material choice for the lining of the blast furnace is therefore one of the most critical decisions for the responsible engineer.
TYK has developed a variety of microporous Carbon-SiC qualities for these high requirements. Our materials have a very high thermal conductivity and an excellent alkaline and molten iron penetration resistance, both crucial criteria for a long lifetime of the blast furnace and for a stable, reliable output of pig iron.

Pre-assembled brick lining in our plant
